The ATX® SZ Fat Bar with a 50 mm grip diameter is a curl bar for targeted strengthening of the arm and forearm muscles as well as grip strength. The characteristic SZ profile with its angled grip positions distributes the load on the wrists in a more biomechanically favorable way than a straight bar, thereby reducing the strain on the joints, especially during heavy curls. The bar is equally suitable for use in a home gym as in commercially used fitness facilities.

The grip diameter, which is 50 mm larger than standard bars, increases the demands on the grip-stabilizing muscles, so that the forearm muscles are activated more strongly with each repetition – an effect that is not achievable with conventional bars in this form. Two different grip widths allow for different curl variations and allow for targeted variation in the training stimulus. The bar is made of sturdy steel tube and is designed for a load of up to 200 kg. Compatibility with 50 mm dumbbell discs allows for easy integration into existing equipment.
