The ab training straps with carabiners – also known as ab straps – are designed for hanging core exercises on the pull-up bar. Typical exercises include hanging leg raises and hanging knee raises. The straps are aimed at anyone who wants to perform such exercises in a targeted manner and without disruptive limitations from grip strength, ranging from ambitious recreational athletes to advanced athletes.

The basic biomechanical principle of these straps is to support body weight during hanging not via the hands, but via the forearms. Experience shows that when gripping the bar directly, grip strength typically fails before the core muscles have been fully worked; in addition, the concentrated load frequently causes discomfort in the fingers, wrists, and shoulders. The padded arm straps cradle the forearms over a large surface area and distribute the weight more evenly, significantly reducing these limitations and allowing the focus to be directed to the target muscles. Attachment to the pull-up bar is done via the integrated carabiners, which enable straightforward mounting and dismounting.
