The Fitcom Competition Bumper Plates are designed for use in Olympic weightlifting and performance-oriented strength training. The urethane outer shell makes the plates impact-resistant and completely odorless—a significant difference from rubber-based versions, which can be particularly bothersome in enclosed spaces due to their inherent odor. The stainless steel inner ring, with an inner diameter of 50.4 mm, complies with IWF specifications and ensures compatibility with all Olympic barbells. The range includes weight increments from 5 kg to 25 kg.

The iron core integrated into each plate permanently stabilizes the inner ring and prevents the bore from breaking out, which regularly occurs in designs without core reinforcement under intensive use. The urethane outer shell reliably absorbs impact forces during drops without cracking or shedding material, which significantly extends the service life in continuous use. The deliberately slim design noticeably reduces the plate width per unit of weight, allowing more plates to be loaded onto the bar and higher total weights to be loaded without restrictions—a concrete advantage for anyone regularly working in the upper load range.
