The continuous solid rubber coating of the plates reliably dampens the impact when dropping the barbell, thus protecting both the flooring and the plates themselves from damage that quickly occurs with conventional iron plates under the same conditions. A robust steel core ensures an even weight distribution and permanently maintains the dimensional stability of the plate. The embedded stainless steel inner ring with an inner diameter of 51 mm ensures a secure, low-play fit on standard 50 mm diameter barbells and prevents excessive play when loading. The color coding assigned to each weight—ranging from 5 kg to 25 kg in clearly distinguishable shades—enables immediate visual identification of the plates without having to read individual weight labels.
